12/10/2008, Away After 4 wins from 5 games Flint travelled to Colwyn Bay with all the confidence of a winning side. It was this over confidence that led to some poor defensive play by Flint which allowed Colwyn Bay to dominate the first 10 minutes and run in their first try (unconverted). Flint replied with an unconverted try but then allowed Colwyn Bay in again to score a converted try. Flint tried to rally their game and pulled another unconverted try back. Then again poor defence by the Flint forwards allowed Colwyn Bay to score their third try (unconverted). Flint scored again just before half time with the best back row move of the game and added the conversion. The second half saw Flint unable to lift their game and Colwyn Bay took forward advantage and started to dominate the rucks. this paid of when they scored an their fourth unconverted try. Flint backs rallied slightly and produce a good which ended in Flints fourth unconverted try. However in the last minutes of the game again poor defence from the Flint backs allowed Colwyn Bay to run in the winning try converted. |
