Flint welcomed Northwich to Marsh Lane this week and following last weeks poor performance against Wirral they were hoping for a better result.

The game started with the normally aggressive Flint forwards looking quite and the first 10 minutes became rather cagey with both side looking for the advantage. Flint eventually broke the deadlock when hooker Lewis Williams powered over from close range. Flint pulled ahead when number 8 Chris Wildman picked up at the base of a scrum to power over and score. Then on the whistle for half time inside centre Chris Bains scored a great try from following some good interchanges between the backs.

The second half started with the Flint side going to sleep and Northwich scoring a converted try. Flint struggled to get back into gear however blind side flanker Luke Williams ran in a try following some good open play. Northwich seemed to go on to the back foot and the powerful Flint forwards started to dominate the play but some poor defensive tackling from the Flint backs let Northwich score a second converted try. Flint replied with some strong play combining forwards and backs and ending up with loose head prop Mike Warburton scoring his first try from the club.
